The Capital City Barbershop
Chorus has been bringing four part harmony to the city of Topeka
and surrounding area since its founding in 1946.
The Topeka Chapter is a nonprofit organization and a member of
the International
Barbershop
Harmony Society
formerly know as the "Society
For The Preservation And Encouragement Of Barber Shop Quartet
Singing In America".

The Capital City Chorus is proud
to have as one of its' service projects the
Topeka Rescue Mission.
Some of the proceeds raised by the chorus each
year are donated to the Rescue Mission. In the
last 2 years we have raised more than $5000.00 to help feed,
cloth, and house the less fortunate in the Topeka community.
We thank all who have helped sponsor the Capital City Chorus.

The Capital City Chorus has about 27 active members and are
always looking for men who enjoy singing. A person does not need
the ability to read music as there are many fine learning
devices now in use to help the singer learn his music. The
Topeka Chapter has directors and section leaders ready to help
any one interested in singing. It’s like getting a free voice
lesson each week. All you need is a desire to enjoy good 4 part
a cappella singing. If you enjoy singing, there is a spot for
you each Tuesday at 7:30. For further information about the
